Sold a card on eBay for 9.95. When packaging the card I noticed the card had a bad corner that wasn't noticed when I pulled it. I immediately emailed the customer notifying him of the issue, and asked what he wanted to do. Offered other autos of the player, offered a full refund and the damaged card shipped to him for free. With no response for a little over a day I just refunded him the full amount, and packaged the damaged card and shipped to him for free. I sent a request to cancel the transaction so neg feedback couldn't be left, and the buyer who has not responded denied request.
Any advice???? I feel I did the honest thing, and now feel gonna get screwed.

Sounds like you did quite an exceptional job of making it right. Did you ship the card with a tracking #?

Yes. Shipped thru eBay/PayPal. The buyer can definitely see the card as shipped. Full refund has been given, and buyer will not answer any emails. Other than the denial of transaction cancellation.

Wow, who are you and what have you done with the normal seller that would not even say anything until it comes up.

I'm kidding. Not sure what will happen, but I commend you for doing this.

Shoot him a message that you sent it out free of charge and that you wanted to make it right.

I have twice. No reply. Obviously if he denied the request he has been on eBay today. Guess being honest doesn't pay. It's a crappy auto. Should I send something else free? Or just wait and see?? Hate to get a neg when I pride myself in perfect feedback.

You did everything you could after the fact, but just to play devils advocate, if you properly inspected the card prior to listing this would have never happened. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of correction. A lesson I think you are learning here...

Do you have any more dinged cards you want to give away???

If say you did more than the right thing & not to worry what could he possibly say. I mean he got a refund and still got the card.
