I really wish ebay would do something about low feedback ebayers bidding up auctions and then not paying.

I recently listed my Stanton gold and I am pretty sure I ran into one of these dirt bags. Thankfully, i may have something worked out with 2nd high bidder.

Is it a worthy suggestion that ebay should put a cap on bidding amounts new users can bid up to? Say 50 or 100 dollars if your feedback is under 20 or so.

Curious what you guys think.

What about someone looking for a rare collectible that normally doesn't use ebay. If they were interested in 1 item, ebay could possibly lose a lot of revenue by this limit.

Since ebay likes revenue more than anything else, I do not see this happening.

People have to get started somehow. I just think a better system can be imposed to weed out the filth.

bouwob, you make a good point. I am sure if they get creative there is a work around. Maybe a deposit?
