Is it possible to search for something in the item description but not in the item title? If so, how would I do that?

You can but the process requires wearing a special aluminum foil hat for starters. It also helps to prevent the FCB tool bar from reading your mind.

Just follow these simple steps:

Get a roll of foil....

Pull off a sheet about this long.....

Wrap the foil around your head......

Jump on ebay and start searching....

Don't forget to protect Sparky...the aliens can read his mind as well.....

I hope that helps!!!

Oh yeah, I forgot....now this is really important. We learned or at least DaleMurphyCollector learned the hard way, never wear your hat within 7 feet of a working microwave unless you are wearing an adult diaper.

Imagine this pitcher of tea is really a gallon of your feces. See how its super thick protection allows for maximum absorbency without leaking.

I’m impressed. Oops I crapped my pants can hold a lot of dung.

And get this, Oops I crapped my pants are biodegradable. Now that’s good for the environment.

Hey, how do you know so much about Oops I crapped my pants?

Well I’m wearing them, and I just did.

You can search for stuff, then subtract anything that could be in the title, by using qualifiers

say i want to search for will clark refractor finest, i could search will clark refractor finest -jack

horrible example, but i used the qualifiers to my searches a lot, to avoid certain auctions or listings that i know aren't what i'm looking for

I wanted the same functionality and could not figure it out myself. I contact EBay customer service and they said that functionality does not exist.

As an example...

Auction description contains (Griffey Auto*) AND Auction title -griffey

I wanted this functionality to find poorly worded auction titles and to reduce the number of hits on some of my more vague saved searches.
