seriously though, this is crap. when there are no more sellers then what will ebay do, scream from the mountain tops "im sorry ebay sellers please come back, we realized without sellers we can have no buyers" if they want to remove crap sellers, it should go by negs or overall rating not just dsr's (which serve no purpose anyway. my dsr's are all 4.9's and even i'm scared about getting kicked off. for the record, i charge $2 flat fee for shipping regardless of how much you win.

Well boys, I got hit with the same thing....

I have over 10,000 sales over the last 7 years, with 2 negatives, and one should have been removed, and the buyer stated he would remove it. The lady I spoke to told me that feedback really doesn't matter, that DSR's do. I asked he why there is even an option to leave feedback then, she didn't have an answer. I was a powerseller all of 2 months ago, now I am banned indefinitely.

Ebay is a joke.

I brought up the fact that Ebay wants all sellers to offer free shipping. She stated this isn't true. I told her that I have had 4 people leave me a low DSR on shipping charges in the last two months, despite me chargin them LESS than the actual shipping cost (large lots)! What a toal and complete joke.

Come on ebay, let's go!

Yeah, it cam through last night. Total junk. Tough to understand how I have 1000's of transactions, 1000's of happy customers, etc and yet TERRIBLE sellers with continual negatives STAY ON EBAY! It makes no sense at all.

That's crazy! I really wish I understood what they were doing. When I talked to them earlier they couldn't tell me when the negative dsr's would fall off. I asked where the transparency was in the process and they acted liek I was crazy for asking.

This is shocking to read.

I've only ever had one low DSR, for item as described. But now I'm worried of losing selling privileges on ebay.

How can they take care of buyers if there are no sellers? This is getting insane.

What is the usual count for total sports cards listings on ebay?

About 1,840,000 BIN and 175,000 auction, which is around where it's at right now. It will be interesting to see how much this goes down, if at all.

edit: that's just baseball

Glad I don't sell much.

5/5/5/4.9

I still charge $3.00 shipping but offer Free shipping with BIN.

Didn't get the boot, and still have a current auction. 8-)

So Chris, how hard would it be to set up some sort of auction format program here? eBay has been around for so long, the ideal code for the auction programming can't be a secret or impossible to figure out.

FCB marketplace is quickly becoming an absolute necessity.

I've been limited for a couple months now as I was one of the first who felf the rath of the banhammer, well actually the limitation hammer. My DRS ratings are 4.9, 4.8, 4.8, and 4.7. I have had 8 1's and 2's in the shipping category which is over 3% of all my transactions for the 12 month period, yet I still have a DSR rating of 4.7. 8 ******s screwed over my account. I can only list 18 items per month up to a total of $2,100. When you have a ton of BIN/BO auctions, it doesn't take long to reach that limit.

I don't buy that they are doing this to collect more fees. If that's the case, why are the ebay ****'s in control kicking off thousands and thousands of fee paying sellers because they think they aren't performing well enough? They are doing this because the people at the top have lost all ability to reason.

I just went and looked. I might just want to block the state of Colorado because that's where all my 1's and 2's ratings are coming from. lol.

Recently a buyer bought a bunch of different items from my store, around 22, I think. He left positive feedback for 11 of them without leaving any more. Then I noticed he bombed my DSR's and I suddenly had 11 new 1's or 2's (I had 1 from a diff buyer months previous). It's against Ebay policy to leave good feedback but bad DSR's, so I went through the online waste-of-time-help-assistant and then called a week later and got 11 DSR's removed.

Secondly, Ebay's combined shipping can create problems when people buy multiple items from different listings. So if you charge $3 for the first item and .25 for each additional and the buyer buys 2 different items and pays $6 for shipping before you can invoice them for $3.25 for shipping, you can easily forget if you are moving through a good quantity. An honest mistake that can get you low DSRs for shipping. Even if you refund the difference the buyer might not notice and still think he didn't get discounted.

For Ebay to be unaware that people will leave bad DSR's hidden behind good feedback is redorkulous. And as long as whatever you buy does not arrive in a PWE, there should be no penalty for shipping charges under $3. Seriously, should there be THAT much of an issue over less than a dollar to get a buyer to ding your DSR's from 5 to 1? Over 50 or 75 cents?

For a buyer to be aware of the shipping charges BEFORE making a purchase, then receiving his item packed and protected securely in a new bubble mailer with D/C, shipped to his door in a timely fashion, should not be the one to have the power to get a good seller kicked off of Ebay.

I've looked into it.

Right now we are heavily backed by ebay, and it would be a major step of faith to make our own auction site. I would want to see how this shakes out before I did anything.

Having said that, I do know and have researched what software would best achieve this.

The craziest part of this is that the buyers agreed to pay the posted shipping fees.

Why the hell should they be allowed to complain about it after the fact? It makes no sense.

BUYER: "Yes, I agree to buy the aforementioned item for the price and shipping. I believe it is a fair price, here is my money."

EBAY: "Were the shipping and handling charges fair?"

BUYER: "No, it was too much money for shipping. The service was great, the item was a great value, but the clearly posted shipping was too much even though I agreed to pay it BEFORE I first placed a bid."

EBAY: "Thank you, we will ban the seller for great service, great value and expensive shipping.

The sheer simplicity of the stupidity is bizarre. It's totally illogical. Those greedy bastards only care about getting their cut of shipping revenues. If anything, take a percentage of the shipping...make everyone money, and everyone happy.
