Had a card listed last week on a BIN/BO listing. Last minute a guy sends an offer, I counter & by the time he gets it, the auction had ended.

He asks me to relist at the terms we agreed & he would buy it...I was away from computer & dealing with all this on my phone & didn't have a chance to relist until a bit ago.

Did the relist & sent him a link...9 minutes later, get email card is sold....but someone else swooped in & hit the BIN & paid instantly.

Not quite sure what to do?? I know I need to honor the sale, but feel bad for the guy who it was intended for??

I've been in the shoes of buyer in this case before. I came to an agreement to have the card re-listed for a certain price and someone else hit the BIN before me. I just said oh well and moved on. You're not at fault at all, but hard not to feel bad for the other guy.

Exact same thing happened to me (as the buyer).

While I was bummed, I just chalked it up to bad luck and moved on.

Yeah, there really isn't much I can do I guess. The intended buyer just said, whatever I do he is fine with.

Yeah, you gotta honor the true sale.

Next time you run into the situation, put a higher BIN on it and have the original guy resubmit his "best offer" of whatever you agreed to.

Sucks for him, but good for you in that you still sold it at what you wanted.

In that situation I'd just as soon make a deal off eBay rather than relist. Don't know why you had to relist, but in the end a sale is a sale.

If it's a higher end item, it's "safer" for the buyer...

I would have been fine with that as well & saved on the fee's but the buyer requested that, so I went with what he asked.

Can't do the "second chance" deal because it was BIN & there was no other bidders.
