just checked my DSR's, all in the red the last 30 days.
shipping time at 4.8 when i never wait more than a day to ship.
stupid rant, just cannot believe this crap.
did just hit 10,000 feedback though.
I just dont see how someone leaves less than 5 for shipping time
when the package clearly shows the day it shipped.
wah wah, i know

I too have dropped a bit. I even had 2 buyers email me the morning after they paid late the night before demanding tracking info and when they were getting the card....seems ebay users are getting younger and more childish.

After a seller provides a tracking number, buyers should not be allowed to enter in a value for shipping time...ebay should be able to write a script that is able to tell when the package is ship and adjust the DSR feedback accordingly.

It also seems like the USPS is slacking a little. I just received something today postmarked July 9. If I'm correct it's July 23, which is a little longer than usual...or a lot longer.

I did surprisingly well on the DSRs when I was selling cards out of my eBay store, it was selling toys auction style that really tanked my DSRs last year. Even this week I sold a lot of Star Wars figures and the winner hit the BIN on Monday, today I get the payment and a Send ASAP note, nice. I have a few more lots of toys to move this month and then I'm done with selling on the eBay for a while, it's just not worth the time and hassle anymore.

And yeah, mail's definitely been slow this month.

The DSR for shipping isn't just for time, it's also a rating of how happy you were with the charges. So if somebody charges $3.00 for shipping and just sends in a PWE, you have the option to rate them on their overall shipping.

“After a seller provides a tracking number, buyers should not be allowed to enter in a value for shipping time..”

I disagree w/this b/c I’ve had many sellers print the shipping label but the ACTUAL shipping date was a good 1-2 weeks LATER, so obviously they do NOT deserve 5 for shipping time. Just b/c you provide a tracking # doesn’t mean you actually shipped that date.

And yes, mail’s been slower lately.

That's what the Shipping & Handling charges DSR rating is for. ::facepalm::

I thought it was all lumped in. That shows how much I pay attention when filling out DSR with my left feedback  . If whatever I get comes fine, then I just go straight down and fill in 5 stars. Haven't had a problem with anything yet *knock on wood*.

I have bought off you on EBAY and CR and I can verify you are an amazingly quick shipper.

Great idea -- in theory. What about those items where Paypal Shipping is NOT used?

Doesn't have to just be PayPal shipping, the tracking # is all that would be relevant.

I think the tracking does tell you when an item is **received** by the shipping company's system, stopping anyone from holding onto an item for a while after printing off a label at home (?).

The tracking number does show when the item is received. It also notes when it goes through each city distributor of USPS.

Packages are not always scanned when receieved @ USPS. Last mo., I had 20% of my packages which were NEVER scanned @ either drop off @ USPS or @ delivery to buyers. Other packages were NOT showing up as scanned until 1 week AFTER I dropped them off.

While I agree that getting dinged on DSRs sucks, I don’t think sellers should get a “free pass”/all 5s just b/c they provided a tracking #. Have had to file (+ won) 2 paypal claims in the past mo. from sellers who provided tracking #s, but despite waiting 4-5 weeks after they supposedly shipped (1 seller is now NARU, so obviously he was a thief as he had a ton of negs arrive AFTER I paid), the items never arrived and the status on usps NEVER changed from ‘electronic shipping info received/label printed’.
