Nice Card but why the heck is the seller hiding his buyer's when he really does not need too?

Ouch. I bought the same card at a show last year, but it was a PSA 9. I paid $225 for mine and at the time the 9's were going for $600. Unfortunately I thought this card could be a 4 Figure card as he nears more records and never flipped it. I am hoping for a rebound and know I won't lose money, but wish I would have turned it into something else.

You mean some kind of buyback? There were no SP auto rc's in 04.

I can imagine people are getting crushed that bought the highly graded arod rc's, especially the SP's & few autos that he has (Fleer?)

Unfortunately, I don't think this is the pack inserted RC version. I am not 100% certain, but I don't think the pack inserted card had a hologram on it. Could this be one of the secondary market cards UD sold through their site/magazine back in the day?

I pulled that from a pack way back the day. Still the best pull I ever had but I am glad I sold it.

Because the pack inserted version did not have a hologram sticker, as most UD Authentic stuff does.

I wouldn't say it's a bad buy, but I don't think it's what you thought it is. I think it is basically a UD Authentic "buyback" type card they used to sell through their magazine/website that was most likely signed years after 1994. Can anyone else back this up? I don't want to give any false information. Look on eBay for graded versions of the card, they don't have the sticker hologram, and the ones I have seen WITH the hologram are graded only as authentic and not as the 1994 RC auto.

Here's another one from eBay:

The one I owned had a sticker as well, though the sticker (I thought) started with "AUD." I too bid on the card that you won not realizing this, and I don't know the significance (or if there is a difference.)

Good luck figuring this out.

This one seems to be the pack inserted version, and it has the sticker. Maybe I am wrong here.

I believe the pack inserted ones had a holo. As I mention in my post above, I thought all the holograms started with AUD, which is why I might be worried about the one the OP picked up (hologram starts with other letters.) Not sure what it means though.

I would be very cautious of these as it is not hard for someone to take a sticker off of someone elses card (there are many cheaper players and sets out there from UD that used these holos) and slapping them on an IP or Faked 94 UD AUTO.....

Personally, I dont touch a lot of these buybacks unless they are BGS graded....

I don't think you have anything to worry about, all of the pack-inserted ones DO have holograms ... the ones without holograms are either not authentic, or obtained in person.

I own one, with a hologram, and it does start with AUD-----, but I really don't think there is much rhyme or reason to the hologram codes, and while most on eBay do happen to start with AUD, there is no reason to believe yours isn't authentic.

PS - that is an insanely low price you got. They were selling for $500-550 as recently as February. I paid $375 for mine about a year ago, but it is the BLACK version, which is apparently a little rarer.
