Well I have finally reached the 3000 Different Card Mark! I started collecting Eric Chavez back in November of 2001. It has definitely been very enjoyable to say the very least. I always wanted a collection that I was proud of and that other collectors admired. My goal when I first started collecting was to be Beckett’s “Super Collector” of the month. That was by far my favorite part of the magazine and very impressed by those collections. Well as many of you know that goal was reached last April in the “Player Collector’s” Issue. In less than 8 years I have accumulated over 300 Different Autographs and over 500 Different Game Used and over 80 1/1’s including 5 MLB Logo cards. I know that my collection wouldn’t be nearly what it is today without the help of many collectors on here and from the old Beckett Boards, from free cards, to heads up on auctions, and keeping an eye out at card shows. I am not going to list everyone but you know who you are and thank you!

I figured it would be appropriate to show off 30 cards, or less than 1% of my total collection :)

Chad- MEGA congrats on an incredible milestone in your collection!! I'm glad to have had a miniscule part in it. You could stop right now and your collection would be one to marvel at many many years from now. Well done! 8-)

WOOOOOOOOAHHH! Congrats! I'm at about 70 cards, but have since decided to only go after his cards in a Padre uniform, gives me to time to catch up and not keep adding cards to the needlist!

Chad, I've always admired your collection along with a few other dedicated player collectors.

Every time I pull an Eric Chavez card or see one, I think of you. Shame most of the time, I know, undoubtedly, you already have it

I'll always be on the lookout for you. Congrats on the milestone!

Congratulations! You've most certainly got one of the most admirable player collections out there!

Please. 3,000 unique cards is nothing. Get back with me when you reach 10,000.... :P

I can't imagine the time, effort, and expense that it took to track down that many unique cards. Congrats on the milestone! :)

To me, the above is what it means to be a super collector. When other people see/pull your player,
and think "does _____ need this?"

Haha, the same goes through my head for Scott Rolen, Troy Glaus, Eddie Murray, Hanley Ramirez, Jay Bruce, Chris Capuano, Nick Markakis (not me, duh), Roy Oswalt, and believe it or not, Miguel Cabrera.

Those are just the ones that stick out in my head. I love player collectors!

Amazing collection, congrats on the milestone!

I love the Pristine Power Sticks, I've never seen a card with a Made In Canada mark. very cool.

Thanks guys, it has been very fun and very pricey but I have no regrets. I am not sure how much longer I will continue but I'll keep going as long as its fun.

I know that feeling, I kinda "gave up" on my Andruw Jones collection a few months back and have been slowly realizing that the money I was spending was much better spent other places....rent,gas,bills, etc..

I always liked seeing your maildays, hopefully all works out for you!
