Eric Chavez Mailweek: Amazing Auto/Patch 2 1/1's + Lots More

Well after 2-3 slow weeks things picked up a little. I contacted a few other Chavez collectors and was able to make a few deals. Ebay has still been pretty slow but thats ok now since I'm out of expendible cash. Also a HUGE thank you goes out to mlballstargreats and bouwob for the last card that is shown. Thanks again guys!

2006 Co-Signers Hyper Silver Blue /10 Cost: $2.00 (2 Hyper Silver Golds /5 away from the complete 36 cars set, Damn this set sucks)

2008 UD Heroes Purple /25 Cost: $5 (I love this set! Only 3 more till its complete)

2003 Topps Chrome X-Fractor /57 Cost: $3.00 (I have a copy but the previous owner removed it from the uncirculated case)

2005 Fleer Authentix Game of the Week Glaus/Chavez /150 Cost: $5

2005 Studio Masterstrokes Patch /10 Cost: $10 (A bit damaged thanks to a moron ebay seller)

2005 Topps Pristine Red /3 Cost: Trade

2008 Sweet Spot Red Stitch Blue Ink Auto /49 Cost: $10 (Glove Auto/2 Away from the set)

2005 Playoff Prestige Xtra Bases Black Signature /3 Cost: Trade

2004 Absolute Absolutely Ink Dual GU Auto /5 Cost: $20

2007 UD Black Pride of a Nation Press Plate Auto 1/1 Cost: $25 (By far the ugliest card in my collection, and I love it)

2005 Artifacts Signature Patches /10 Cost: $50 (Only my second on card auto/patch and one of the sweetest patches)

And last but certainly not least

2004 Leaf Certified Cuts Marble Black Signature 1/1 (Thank you again mlbsalltimegreats & bouwob, they paid for this card and had it sent to me for free)

Great additions. I must say I'm a bit envious of the number of sets Chavez is in. With Jack Wilson only being in 3-4 sets a year, it doesn't leave many new cards to chase.

wideright: Thanks, yes a lot of lower numbered stuff since thats really the only things I still need that people at least list. I used to hate 1/1s (And still sord of do) but at least picking them up keeps new cards coming into the collection.

subject to change: Thanks, I love and hate at the same time the number of sets he is in. It is great when he is in attractive sets (Sweet Spot, Heroes, etc) but horrible when he is in ugly sets (Co signers, Milestones, etc) which have hundreds of cards that are basically identical.

jay1065: Thanks, I honestly doubt I'll find the last two since to the ususpecting person the major player is the color photo and very rarely gets the second name listed. I used to search both ways when the set was released but have since given up/no longer care. It would be great to find them but not really counting on it and not really a priority either.

pghbuccos: Thanks, I like the Artifacts sets as well. I used to have all 3 Dual Jersey Autos Chavez had but sold them off, one of the few things I regret about my collection. Hopefully I can pick them up down the road.

Thumpersports: Thanks Spencer, yeah on card auto/patches are a rare sight, it is sad I only have 2 out of all my cards but I don't think he has any others so I guess 100% is the best you can be.

Do you miss out on some stuff or are you pretty much nabbing everything that you need that gets listed? What I mean is like, are these the only 12 cards that you needed that were available since the last time you posted your pickups, or were there some other extremely low #/d cards that you missed out on? I probably over-explained that but you know what I mean

wideright: I pretty much pick up everything I don't have at this point (unless it is an extremely high BIN) there are also some sets that I simply have no interest in that I also let go (2005 Ultimate Dual Jerseys, Dual Patches, Dual Jersey Autos, Dual Patch Autos) simply because I just don't like the look of them. I'm pretty much to the point that if it is/was reasonably priced on ebay I now have it. There are probably less than 50-75 cards currently listed on ebay, beckett etc etc combined that I do not have.

moxacaine: No I do not I came close to buying one at one point but then thought what in the heck would I do with it.
