ESPN BREAKING NEWS: Red Sox, Nationals finalists for Gio

This has to be the Red Sox worst offseason ever....why can't they pony up for a friggen SP? We only have 3 starting pitchers as of now! Ugh...

much like the 2011 season they will start slow, get hot around mid season, and finish slow... minus the hot mid season part. however i can see with all the additions that this year will be better because of the loss of lackey.

Me too...I am a huge fan of Gio! I definitely wouldn't have minded if they overpaid for him.

I will still watch every game that I can, and hope that they put together a strong season, but I was hoping for another splash in F.A.

I think last years F.A. might have spoiled me though :lol:

True, but we do have $ coming off the payroll this season so I was hoping they could sign at least one significant player. Hopefully Crawford reverts to the Crawford of old and then we can pray our pitching is halfway decent so our offense can carry us (ala 2011 Pats )

Yeah. I would have been thrilled with Cahill too. He is one of my favorites to watch. Now I am not even sure who else is left that is available...
