eTopps WBC set

Just realized that eTopps gave everyone who had a complete set the patch card and 55 PBs.

Not sure how to explain the PB thing but you can use them to get free cards and free shipping.

conservative estimate would be $55 worth of free cards

Some of the etoppers who accumulated the cards got several hundred PBs

10 PB for each Japanese players cards
5 PB for each Korean players cards

I got 10 points for owning Aoki during the championship game. I sold Darvish early, otherwise I would have gotten those too. Problem is, the points are kinda hard to spend. The last catalog I was able view, cards that sold for $5-6 at IPO, were 15-20 rewards points.

The way they have it set up is kinda weird too. Last weeks catalog became available at 10pm on Wed. This weeks is at 2pm tomorrow. So unless you follow very closely, most items are gone by the time you get a chance to log in and check.

The patch card does seem like a very cool idea though. Extra incentive to collect the whole set.

You can use the PBs on the trade board also. I just used 2 PBs to pick up 3 pretty low end cards
