I am certainly not a prospector by any means, and will admit from the get go, I have done limited but some research on this guy, but why are Evan Fredrickson Bowman Chrome Auto going for so little?

I won an Ike Davis Auto from a seller and noticed a Fredrickson was ending by the same seller in less then 2 minutes with $.99 auction and no bids. Since the seller offered free shipping on additional purchases, I placed a bid for $2.05 even though I know nothing about him. My thought was $2.00 for a Chrome auto is a good deal. Not only did I win, but I got the card for $.99

After winning the card, I discovered he was a 1st round pick and does seem to have upside.

Why are they selling so little? Most auctions on ending well under $5.00 with delivery. I know he is not the best auto to pull, and possibly one of the worse, but still $5.00? I know the economy is poor and the market is oversaturated, but am I missing anything else?

Thanks for your help

I knew him being 22 probably had something to do with it, and his performance wasn't great, but that many innings pitched is a pretty small sample

Thanks, I have no desire to collect him, but will buy his base chrome auto for $.99- $2.00 delivered if the opportunity comes up again.

I will say one thing about this, there have been many autos that were considered min-low end when they came out, that you could have turned a nice profit on.......

Fredrickson walks a ton of people. That being said, Phil Hughes and Nick Markakis were once among the cheapest autos from their respective sets.
