As a Philly area guy, but not really a Sixers fan, everytime I hear or see Paul Pierce's name two words come to mind:

I don't think the Philly fan base is the only ones face-palming that draft. I'd say the top 8 would like a do-over. Maybe Toronto was happy with the attention they got with Carter, so maybe the top 7. If the top 10 are redrafted today, what's the order? Dirk, Pierce, Carter, Jamison, Bibby, Hughes?

The re-drafts are always 20/20 but EVERYone wanted the Sixers to take PP then, including me, the only problem was that Larry Brown LOVED him and it was his call...

Ask any Sixers fan, and they'll list this one near the Top.

Of course, besides the Moses/Ruland/Daugherty/Robinson debacle or Shawn Bradley at #2 or well, you get the Idea... :lol:

Can't rip them for not taking Dirk 'cuz no one knew who he was and the International players had mostly been flops up 'til then (and mostly since :lol: ) but man, Pierce was the Pick.

And Jamison was/is a pretty good Pro and was totally unstoppable in College.
