Evgeni Malkin out 2-3 weeks

Evgeni Malkin will be out for 2-3 weeks with a shoulder strain. Malkin strained his shoulder about 2 weeks ago and has been playing through the pain but has been advised by team doctors to sit out for a few weeks to allow the strain to heal. he has seemed to be a little off his game recently and it seemed like maybe he was injured. this will be the first time in his career that he has missed significant time. he has only missed 4 games in his 4 career and those 4 games were at the start of his rookie season.

hopefully Tyler Kennedy is able to return to the lineup tomorrow night in Columbus but if not the Pens will recall a player from WB/S. maybe Luca Caputi or Eric Tangradi.

I guess Chris Conner deserves a chance to show what he can do but I would have much rather seen Caputi called up. we will see what happens.
