I know once you start to sign more you will shorten your autograph so you dont spend so much time doing them.... but looking at Heywards auto.... pretty soon it looks like he will do the Verand Morency check mark auto.

2008 - AFLAC - Nice full signature.

2008 - Bowman Chrome - Shortened a little.

2009 - Triple Threads - Shortens up his last name just a little more.

2010 - Bowman Sterling - Still pretty close to 2009.

2011 - Triple Threads - Atleast we can still see the J.... soon it will be just a J ::facepalm::

Yea, it is horrendous. I stopped collecting him 1) because he did not impress me this year 2) his market value plummeted and 3) his autograph. I like when players stay consistent. I don't mind a small change in autograph, but his has been drastic, and to stay with the same joke, his production changed drastically this year.

I saw him less then a year ago in Rosemont and got a ball signed by him. You would never guess that was his signature from then compared to now. I appreciate players who take time to sign nice and neatly. I understand players get overwhelmed and irritated by signing sticker sheet after sticker sheet, but come on!

All this is why i still collect Chipper Jones til this day! Great player with a consistent autograph!

His auto in the last picture looks like Sue.
Disappointing to say the least. This is just another reason to collect the retired guys. They at least know how to sign their name.

It should be in Topps' and other companies' contracts that a player has to make an effort to sign his full, legible signature on cards and stickers.
Players make so much money signing for card companies. You'd think they could spend a few extra moments to scribble more than a few letters.
Show some pride you lazy jackasses.

Early 90s. When he first signed his contract, no slant, rudimentary letters.

Mid 90s. Slanting to the right. (The Golden Age of Rivera autos IMO)

Late 90's. Starting to slant to the left.

Modern day, more loopier initial letters and slight loss of detail from before. Rivera still has one of the sweetest signatures in the game.

And around 2008 or so he started to add a little flair with the 22 underneath his name
