YOU KNOW
Who do you think is a really good deal right now based on their prices.

I think Noah is a pretty decent steal, as he is only going to get better. His exquisites sit at around 80 dollars each.

Conley Jr's only sell for 50ish.

Durant for what he can become seems like a good price even though expensive at 2500ish.

And with Childress coming back to the nba, and his last exquisite selling for 34, i think that is the best of the bunch.

What do you guys think?

If Rondo can learn to hit an open jump shot this offseason then he's the best deal.

Rondo is already capped on price.

Felton might be a good pick up still!! Depending on how he does.
David Lee in my opinion is still cheap

Aaron Brooks. Blake Griffin. D.J. Augustin. DeRozan. If you're into spending, Brandon Roy or Deron Williams are lower than they've been for some time. Don't know if that's a trend or what. My guess is that Roy could hit $800-1000 if the Blazers make the Finals. That's a big if, though.

I agree with Ray Felton, but I'm not sure that Rondo is capped. But I agree if you're saying that now is not the best time to buy Rondo. There were a whole bunch on eBay that didn't sell. Plus, that Exquisite design is horrific. I don't know why every one of those cards looks miscut. That's definitely not "exquisite." The middle of next year would probably be better. David Lee going out to GS is ominous for his card values. There's only one ball out there. Why didn't his cards sell when he was in NY?

I've been looking to get an Augustin, but I've been so busy collecting baseball and football, too, that I never see one (at auction) on eBay when I remember to search for one.

Before the playoffs last year, Noah's cards could be had for much less than they are now. There were several on ebay with bins between $25-40. I'm still kicking myself for not pulling the trigger.

I'm trying to figure out if the fact that Exquisite isn't being produced anymore is going to be a positive or negative thing on the cards future value. Does the fact that there won't be any more Exquisite rookies drive the value of past year's up? I was buying up Spencer Hawes RC's for several months (for PC, not investment purposes), & have noticed a definite spike in prices as of late. I don't know if it's because he was traded (76'ers - doubtful), or because they have dried up somewhat? It could just be a coincidence too. I don't know.

If money was no matter, I'd be buying up Durant's /99. His stock is only going to continue to rise.

Weren't Mario Chalmers Exquisites (1-colors) only going for around $20 last season?
Edit: I see some did go around $20 earlier in July, but after the "decision", they've hit $70+. I was thinking about picking one up after the trio said they would join Miami. I guess I wasn't the only one though.

I think Rondo can still go up. I sold all that I had during the Playoffs because I worried the big men would keep him from scoring much, but he's upped his game, and will likely be the face of that franchise before too long. I also think the fact so many were on eBay kept prices down for a while. Of course, they may not make the championship for a long time going forward but I am considering buying back in.

Rondo can only go up if he really works on his free throw shooting and jump shot this offseason. If he improves in those two areas he will be the best point guard in the league.

Kevin Durant, Al Horford, Brook Lopez, Deron Williams, James Harden, and others are all great buys right now. A breakout season is very possible for all of these guys and a good playoff run brings prices up like crazy.

Sometimes I wish I was not so conservative. Sold mine during the Finals when the prices jumped a bit, but was too quick to sell my four. They've jumped significantly!

Personally I don't think the fact that there is no more Exquisite will have a big impact either way.
I think they'll still be viewed as the premiere high-end rc's for all those guys...and any spike or drop will be their natural growth/drop and not a correlation to the products existence itself.

I think it's a unique situation - where the only NBA cards available now didn't even exist then. So now that it's just Panini it's not like you can go back and move their brands ahead of those past Exquisite releases. Can't bump past NT prices now that it has become the top high-end brand. So figure Exquisite will remain what it's been.
