Well 1 of 2 things is happening here... honest buyer of a card got totally 100% scammed and now he is left holding a card that he probably can't get any $ for as long as the buyer knows it's a fake... or 2 he is a fake patch maker and is doing a good job covering his tracks. I wish it was neither. I hate seeing stuff like this... just terrible for the hobby and everyone involved.

I agree, it is very bad. I somewhat believe the guy, because he is being cooperative. It's hard to fully believe him though.

Well that sucks for him. Out $450 or whatever and who knows what his options are. Take it to the National and sell it that way and hope no one sees this thread.

Well, he's provided me with a transaction date and eBay item number, along with the receipt for his payment.

I'd say "Not Guilty" and he is owed an apology on here even if he isn't a member from those who said he was full of sh*t , but that's just me

*** and I hope it gets pulled and somehow he can recoup

I have already issued him an apology for doubting him, and thanked him for all the info he's given me.

So now what? He/she emails the person he/she bought it from with the new info? He/she gives the same song and dance about how they had no idea, they got doped, got from somewhere else, etc.? The entire situation sucks and feel sorry for all involved, especially this guy/girl because he/she is out like $450 and the only way it gets unloaded now is a shady sale off eBay to a buyer who has NO idea it's fake or somehow gets a refund but then that seller has to go back through the same motions as this guy/girl?! Just sucks... I have no idea how it gets settled really.

I am not sure how far back any fraud protection goes , and maybe the $450 seller will handle it correctly and issue a refund. It def is a raw deal for current seller at this point

Yea, it's a mess. I'm sure the original seller will not want to hear from him/her or deal with this mess. Regardless if they're the faker or not, they'll just try to avoid that refund at all costs. Not sure how eBay will handle but it sure would be nice to know or hear how this all pans out. Hope the best for all involved.
