Such a great set that DLP did over a few years and different sets. What if they brought it back today with new Fans? Would you pass on them as they still wont have team logos or would that not matter for a set like this.

I loved those cards the first time around and it wouldn't bother me a bit with no logos. Since they aren't players I don't need to see a logo, the Chicago National League Baseball Club would be enough for me.

I never cared for the idea. If you want a celebrity auto card, they need to make one that is related to the reason for their fame. Non-sports seems to have a nice market now days. Keep it all outside of sports products. I also think it is a slap in the face of real fans who are not featured (probably because most people wouldn't care or want a joe blow autograph card).

10 years ago they were cool and inventive insert autos that were highly collectable. Today, celebs have their own sets and should probably stay away from the sports cards sets.

I think the closest I would come to accepting that idea was the Scouts autograph set, as they are at least directly tied to the game, yet are certainly not anything most would consider collectible on their own (other than those who also played). I got the Ralph Avila card because he was a long time Dodger scout.

During the World Series, Fox kept showing Steve Perry at the games. IMHO, it would be awesome to pull a card autographed by him.

If they were cool, like Seinfeld and Kevin James, I'd be all over it, but not that bachelor guy or whatever they put in that last set

I liked them and cards like Phelps and Gandolfini had spikes after release for different reasons

I actually like the idea and IF Alyssa Milano is included I'm definitely in!

Serious question though: IF DLP got the celebs to wear Gear of their favorite team and the photo was of that, would that help them get around the Licensing agreement?

My guess would be no, but maybe somebody else knows for sure...
