Fantasy Players- Mat Gamel or Alcides Escobar

I have my draft coming up, and im fine tuning my draft.

I believe both of these guys will be available when I get to pick, so the question is, which one would you take first?

(currently at 3b- Mark Reynolds / currently at SS- Jack Wilson)

I probably wouldn't take either at this point in their career. Gamel is the better fantasy player overall though.

I wouldn't take either, either.
3B is going to be a platoon this year for the Brewers no matter who is playing.
(Mike Lamb, Casey McGehee, Bill Hall, Craig Counsell, Mat Gamel, and maybe even Vinny Rottino)
Alcides would be cool to have laying in the wings on a keeper league, but I don't know what we should expect this year, or even when his call-up might be.

Good call on Gamel.

I didnt think about the logjam there.

It is a keeper league, so I could hold onto Alcides.

I thought he was supposed to be the opening day SS?

I'm going to vote neither as well, unless it's incredibly deep (20 teams) or an NL only league.

Kevbo is correct. There is currently a huge logjam at third with Hall, Lamb and the others. I would think Escobar is the quick return choice but I wouldn't take either of them (either, either, either).

I think they are both going to be studs, but Fantasy/Roto is another story. If you are forced take Alcides because even if he hits poorly he still may net you a few steals in there.
