What's your favorite inscription in you collection?

Seeing the Home Run leaders thread got me thinking.

Personally I think the only inscriptions I have are HOF years on some baseballs and cards

Here's my favorite. I tried to contact both Fergie Jenkins representatives and the Hall of Fame and neither were able to tell me why he signed with this nickname. If anybody can help with this one, I'd love to find out the backstory!?

This is definitely my favorite, just so happened that there was a free signing for my favorite player on my birthday!

Here is another one that I really like. He only had 1 public signing after he broke the team record before he went to the Rangers so I know there isn't too many of these out there.

Have a few that I love:

First, an ironic in-person inscription from a favorite pitcher:

Then, an in-person signature from my alltime favorite player. I told him that I did a book report on this biography as a kid and he personalized it to me.

And then this is my all time favorite inscription. Only one I have ever seen that he signed this way:

I don't have a pic, but I got an inscription from Bert Blyleven saying I was "Hearby circled"

I also have a game used inscription from Glen Perkins.

I worked with a guy a few years back who was a big George Brett fan. I saw on Ebay there was an authenticated autograph of George on a baseball that said "F*** You" George Brett. I almost pulled the trigger on that for him.

The Ripken is nice and perfectly centered with his jsy #8 in the middle and the Longoria is fairly rare to get him to sign his nickname on a ball.

I think it was excel_B that had a Leaf Cut of Muhammed Ali that had the inscription "love is the net where hearts are caught like fish".

I get my baseball encyclopedia signed when I can, and I think I have an '06 version, so the newer guys aren't in it. Well when I sat down with Dirk Hayhurst for a while and then had him sign my Encyclopedia, since he wasn't in there, I had him sign the top of the page he "should" be on... Well, I'll just use this explanation as a place holder til I can get a photo of it, my words wouldn't do it justice...

Years ago when I was 14 I had the honor to meet one of my favorites, Brooks Robinson. I played baseball at the time and he signed an 8x10 " To Mark, a future Hall of Famer". Now that I think about it I'm going to have to get it framed and matted one of these days.
