The Gunslinger is a novel by American author Stephen King, and is the first volume in the Dark Tower series.

Or do you mean a gunslinger because he thinks he can make any play and because he thinks like this he should be excused for making stupid plays ?

I am not only the one that thinks like this.....

Wow, A story from a guy who waited until they lost the NFC championship on questionable overtime calls to make his point. Notice how quiet he was all season when they continued to win and in comeback fashion thanks to Brett many times. I do not like Brett but he is a beast... Who is better??? Since, he owns almost every passing record in history? He has 1 more championship than Marino, so he must have been even more overrated by your logic. Stop disliking a guy because he was indecisive on if he wanted to return or not. He makes some crazy throws and sometimes it causes trouble...remember he only threw 7 picks all season. He had the 4th most completions in football this year at the age of 40 and the least amount of interceptions thrown as a starter. Boom...roasted

You miss the whole point. I don't think anyone claims he doesn't put up #s or does well in the regular season, it is the fact that he has some of the most epic chokes of all time! Blame the refs all you want, go ahead and ignore the fact that this guy is nothing but a pain in the ass, and a choke artist! I rather my Rams suck that have cancer Favre!

Couldn't agree more. And what's terrible is that the media have been claiming that he's a "smart" quarterback for ages...

So does Donovan McNabb fall in this "overrated" list too?

1-3 in the NFC Championship Games. 0-1 in the Super Bowl?

Depends how you have him rated. Many have Favre among the top five of all time - I don't think he belongs there so if that is the rating then yes he's overrated.

This HAS to be one of THE MOST STUPID topic posts I have ever seen on these boards or on the old ones. Most overrated in all of sports? This is idiotic and insane.
Favre is one of the toughest sob's to ever play this game. His consecutive start record including the playoffs, which stand at well over 300 games, is in many ways even more astounding tha Ripken's.

Good Lord, I haven't seen this many reckless, factless, and baseless posts in any thread in a long, long time. I'm going to refrain from breaking down all of the half-witted posts here and just suffice it to say that Favre is one of the Greatest players in ANY sport ever. Ohhh, my head hurts.........................

WOW! I thought you complained because of nonfactual statements? If so, how do you get off saying Favre is one of the greatest players in any sport ever? He is barely a top 10 at his own position in his own sport! I would struggle to put him in my top 50 NFL players of all time, and he would be nowhere near my top 100 players of the 3 majors! The media blows this guy out to be much more than he ever was, and the fans love that good ole boy, just havin fun, careless style of play. That is why he is so overrated. If he ran around beating his wife like Warren Moon, he would be compared to Warren Moon, which is where he should be rated.

How are you basing this list? Statistics?... because Favre beats everyone here. Championships?... because Marino never won one. And I cant believe Aikman beats out Favre on your list. The guy never threw for over 4K yards in a season. He never threw more than 23 tds in a season. He was simply a game manager for a stellar running game and defense. Thats what was winning the games for the Cowboys.

Besides Aikman, who threw 150 LESS interceptions than Favre over his career, which of the other guys on this list are you putting Favre ahead? The guy threw more picks than anybody, only once had a rating over 100 (this year, with a Super Bowl quality team), and came up short in big moments more than he came up big. I'd compare him more to a Karl Malone than a Michael Jordan though, a great player but not one of the very best ever. I'd take every guy on my list if I was starting a team over Favre.

I've realized that you, along with some others, know NOTHING about football. You are being contrary JUST for the sake of being contrary; which also explains your zealous defense of Bonds. You just want attention, and i think you've figured that saying things that NO ONE but the most retarded of sports "fans" could agree with is a way to get it.

This is not about you not liking Favre, it's about you being one of the MOST clueless people on this board: you're being foe'd.

The only thing I'll miss is whatever retarded comback you'll have for this post...
