If I can dig up two more different Canes, I will reach the benchmark of having at least one card of 100 different Hurricanes alum.

Do I qualify for Tard Supercollector yet? :?

Nope, maybe if you find 8 more obscure players after those 2. Strict percentage system.
Dang. I can do it though. I know there's a few guys out there yet. Brett Perriman and Marcus Maxey obscure enough?

Take Pick 12. The Dolphins have a good chance to trade out of that spot. You can bet like 1 dollar and make LOOT.

I am surprised Jacksonville is 3:2. I could see someone trading up in front of them for 9

I think those odds are too steep to take Jacksonville as well. They have a legit need at DE, and Del Rio has appeared happy with MJD and Jennings as the 1-2 combo. Gene Smith (their GM) really hammered home their need picks last year. I think he'd go that route again if one of the top DE's on the board was there.

This is for the Tard Supercollector. You'll have to find some irrationally tough Miami player cards to suit that comical standard.

I think the 49ers should trade for Ben Roethlisberger.

I don't want to pay their full asking price, but would be cool with a deal for the right rate.

Whats their full asking price? a top 10 pick?

If I was the niners GM, our #1 first and a 3rd. Done.

You dont get many chances to steal a franchise QB and I don't remember a time when a team would give one away like the Steelers are. Baggage or not.

I just think you have to leverage them since they are in sell mode. Probably can get them to come down on their price a bit just to get a deal done. Maybe use the fact that he's due a ton of money in the future, and his next suspension will probably be a full season if he screws up again. Have to factor in that risk against them.

a first and 3rd is cheap. This is the buying price for Roy Williams 2 years ago. Cutler was a 2 firsts. If the Steelers called and said, Itll take a first and third...... Ben's plane ticket would be booked before i hung up the phone.

to preface this..... I'm not a big Ben fan either, but this is a once in a long lifetime opportunity for several teams.

I was surprised SF wasn't more interested in McNabb. Seemed like he would have been a good fit, assuming they could have reached an extension before hannd - would have even had to give up less for him.

I think he would have lost his some of his effectiveness in the 49ers' system. It isn't derived from the same Walsh WCO system that both Reid and Shanahan's systems are. I was open to the deal, but wasn't pinning my hopes on it putting the 49ers over the top.

Grand Theft Auto IV.
If you like RPGs - Oblivion or Fallout 3
Halo ODST (you get ODST and a disc with all Halo 3 multiplayer)

I need to get a new game for the 360. Bored of bc2 and MW2 is just stupid. and have played to death all the sports games i have
i may pick up halo. I just need some new online game to play.

Try Halo then. I rarely played ODST (campaign or Firefight) but it comes with a disc that contains the Halo 3 multiplayer portion, including all map packs.
i will have to see if i can just pick up the multiplayer disc. i really don't care about the campaign or fire fight.

Even if you can't get the single disc, I think the entire package only runs around $40 right now. Good price even if all you want is Halo 3, since you get all the DLC that has been released right on the disc.

Be warned: If you haven't played Halo it's an entirely different style of play than MW 2.

Can I count that baseball player guy Alex Rodriguez? I think he plays for the Yankees or something.

He played for the Hurricanes football team. Oh wait, he signed his commitment and then pulled out so he could go blow Griffey Jr on the Mariners instead of fulfilling his commitment to be the Hurricanes QB.

I don't think Clemson has 100 alum. I guess I can't be a supercollector :?

That Roy Williams deal was f'n awful. The Cowboys management made a knee-jerk move on that and they know they blew it. The Cutler deal is still in the open. Both of which speak to why I would want a better deal with the risk involved. Too many things go sour (potential suspension in this case, etc.). #17 and a conditional 3rd/4th would be the best I'd do, using your example.

Nope. Have to wait til you are 45 to accomplish supercollector status.

Out of the 98 alumni I now have a card of, can you guys believe I don't have a single card of Jerome Brown. Kind of sad that I either didn't get one in my childhood ripping open packs of at least Pro Set, or if I did, none survived through my early youth.

Ben is a proven winner on the NFL level. I would give them a first in a heartbeat.

They want a top 10. If you don't have a top 10, what else do you add? Factoring in that, do you give them too much more, with him now already on Goodell's hit list?

exactly.

Draft picks are a bigger risk then trading them for a young QB that has 2 SB rings. Big Mike will whip his shlong out and set Ben straight.
