Apparently, people on some Clemson message boards use it because he took an official to Clemson and apparently got rather drunk downtown or had some sort of incident while an underage (not 100% clear), but it caused the coaches to really back off. They decided to change crunk to gronked in his honor. Is that what you have heard?
