How's this for a  ::facepalm:: story?

My buddy (who I mentioned before was looking to sell off some TTM/IP autos he had from the 90s) went to Wal Mart, where they had 2010 Bowman. I was just bullshitting with him about how much Strasburg cards were going for, and he remembered this when he saw the blaster. What's he do? He buys his first cards in what he said was probably 10 years.

Guess what the dick pulls. Give up? Strasburg Purple Refractor. What makes it better? He asks me to sell it for him on ebay ::facepalm::  . I can't hate on his luck, although it does make me a little jealous that he got that lucky coming out of the woodwork after 10 years.

 That's one helluva retail pull. I have yet to see a blaster of 2010 Bowman, only packs and rack packs.

I guess it was time for karma to swing my way. Bought a 4 card lot for my vintage hockey set project. 3 of them were great, but 1 didn't pass my inspection. There's another guy on these boards who's doing the same set and he said it would be an upgrade for the copy he has. We agree on a price and at the same time that he pays me, I get paid for a couple of autos I sold on ebay, giving me enough to pay for the 2nd Sanchez auto for my Heroes Rookie auto set. So that freed up some money to buy a bunch of cards I was watching toward the hockey set. ;)

Very. Love the idea though.

I buy a duds card every once and a while just for kicks. My two favorites...

Nice. You going for the Champs jerseys first or doing the autos and jerseys all at once?

Congrats. That's down to 4, right?
Nope, still at 5. It was the Sanchez I won 2 days ago that I was going to pay for tomorrow.

I'm pretty much doing the 3 hockey sets all at once which is freaking nutz if you look at it. But the jersey set is only 57 cards, auto set is 81 and the vintage set is 132. Other than the jerseys I bought from you, I haven't had a lot of luck finding lots of them recently. Found 2 auto lots that I got relatively cheap. One on ebay, one on another board. I hit 25% in hand on the vintage set today. 1 graded, 32 not. After seeing the raw Clarke I got in the mail today, I'm gonna flip the PSA 7 version and see if I can get my money back.

But getting the Heroes auto set finished is my collecting priority.

There's some stuff on COMC, both for Champs and the 71/72 set, for pretty cheap. As always, some overpriced stuff, but also some stuff at pretty decent prices.
