Found the Gold for $6 and the Silver for $2, both on SportsLots. The last time I made a purchase from there though, it never came. I thought I had finally knocked off one of the 06 Select Black /6 cards from my need list for $15, and it never came along with a few other cards I picked up with it from the one seller. They let me know that payment was received and that they'd get things gathered for mailing, and that was the last I heard. They then ignored my inquiries as to where it was, and I had to file a claim.

One last note on the Topps Total front. I never made an offer because it's listed with a $50 bin/bo, but this plate has always caught my eye. It's the 2007 with Jared Lorenzen, Nore, and David Tyree. I've always liked Lorenzen because he's a fat lefty like me, Nore is Nore, and Tyree is a Super Bowl hero. I still probably wouldn't be able to justify more than $15 for it being a non-rookie plate.

I use Google's shopping when I'm looking for something specific. It searches ebay, COMC, SportsLots, a bunch of other online card shops, and various auction sites and stores. I love it. It doesn't search Beckett Marketplace though, which sucks (especially since I always forget about them).

lol on another forum someone wants to sell me all their Seahawks cards. It's mainly base. After going back and forth, I offered $30 as there were a bunch of inserts from the late 90's that I don't have as well. He says $35. Then yesterday I got that 300+ card lot and realized that 90% of it was dupes. Today I tell him I'm not going to buy them and he immediately says he will accept my $30 offer. That offer went out the window when he countered.

Ten months ago, the Chargers sent cornerback Antonio Cromartie to the Jets in exchange for a conditional 2011 draft pick. And Rich Cimini reports that one of the conditions of that trade is that if the Jets advance to the divisional playoff round, the Chargers get the Jets’ second-round pick. If the Jets lose, the Chargers get the Jets’ third-round pick.

In other words, if the Jets lose, the Chargers get a pick somewhere between No. 85 overall and No. 88 overall. If the Jets win, the Chargers get a pick somewhere between No. 57 overall and No. 64 overall.

So if you’re a Chargers fan, root for the Jets.
