Picked up 30 of these Walter Young Uncirculated blue ref rc's for $2. Hopefully, he'll play somewhere :?
Also grabbed a Selvin Young Topps Chrome RC auto for $3.75.

Cool pickup, but I would not hold my breath for a near 30 WR who has not done anything. Walter is a nice guy though, and very nice to the fans when he was in Carolina

Thanks! I think most players of the 02/03 draft class are out of the league

Check out the AFL or CFL rosters.

The first trade of the AFL was just made, which involved Micahel Pittman. Guys like Tim rattay, JP Losman, Denny Green, Tim Cottreell, etc. all have jobs again. I can't wait for the first Denny Green AFL meltdown!

They could. The AFL is brand new, and hasn't started official games yet. They're just in training camp phase.

If Kurt Warner and Jake Delhomme can play in the NFL Europe league, and come back to win a Super Bowl, and play in one - then sure the AFL and CFL guys can come back. Although many/most won't.

Minor note: Isn't the new league the UFL?

He played in the NFLE as well. He and Delhomme were actually teammates in 98.

Since NFLE is during the off-season, couldn't he do both?

Dalton, you're gonna make me Google this so that I don't think I'm losing my mind, aren't you?

- Brief pause while Googling -

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurt_Warner

In 1998, Warner was signed by the St. Louis Rams and was allocated to NFL Europe's Amsterdam Admirals. Warner led NFL Europe in touchdowns and passing yards.[9] His backup was Jake Delhomme, now the starting quarterback for the Carolina Panthers. He spent the 1998 season as third-string quarterback behind Tony Banks and Steve Bono.

That's where I originally read it.

The NFLE was basically a minor league system. The scrubs and guys who needed work were sent there to work on their skills as kind of an off season training program.

So it was still part of their NFL job, just a more advanced off season than the stars and studs.

The NFLE is no more though.
