I still can claim I picked Wisconsin over Zona in 2000. If I had picked them over LSU, then I would have won a 36 inch TV, perhaps since I lied about being 18, but that would have given me the points for the win.

Clemson needs to lose the excited to be here thing and show up with a we are here to prove ourselves attitude. Purnell knows how to coach, so it is not just him. If Clemson shows up they can play with nearly any team in the country. Our offense has not been as strong this year, but it is coming around and the defense has been noticeably better. It will be what will carry us as far as we go in the Tourny.

::facepalm:: @ that Wisconsin game. At least I didn't manage to attend that one (was still in high school).

You mentioned a pretty key point. You can't give away the first 5 minutes or so of the game being unnerved or anything of that nature. Just have to execute the game plan. Hopefully the other team folds under the pressure. I watched that game last year against Michigan, just never looked like things got on track for more than 5 minutes at a time.

Yeah, we never could do anything. It was one of those games where it was close so you thought something had to go your way eventually and we could sneak out a win. As long as we don't get matched up against a 7 footer, I see Booker taking control of the game. He is very physical and they should let him play. The only thing that seems to bottle him up at the tall guys since they have 5 inches on him.

Even if that is the case, if you can get the game into a fast pace, you'll essentially take the big men off the floor (by either them being winded, or just not effective at that rate). Such small things can turn a game.

BTW, congrats on 5000+ posts. 8-)
