Thosebackpages,

The way I read it, this thread is for cards that scream out FCB (Ty's Bob, magic's Griffs). Not just the most expensive card in someone's collection.

ahhh ok.

Then those two for sure.

Newb's are going to struggle with the noms

Like any hall of fame, different voters will have different criteria. That's part of the fun. The intent is to honor amazing cards and the members who own them. It doesn't have to be the most valuable cards, but high value cards naturally will often be pretty amazing.

Talking about screaming FCB, I don't have a pic on mobile, but I'd nominate the giraffe neck Willie McGee sketch card

I think as Ichiro gets closer to 3000 hits in the MLB this card will be even more in demand. With only 250 cards total and many/most with bad chipping and streaky autographs higher grade copies are not easy to find. His only other rc auto is not #d and almost every one has part of the auto covered up.

Although already pricey it will be interesting to see what they sell for in a couple of years as there are already so few offered for sale. Even with plenty of cash you might have to wait months to a year before finding a nice copy for sale.

Edit - .5 from a Bgs 9,

I think with all the hype surrounding it and the very controversial "sales" and epic thread that ensued, the 2010 Bowman Strasburg RC Auto SCREAMS FCB.

I can't find a pic of the Willie McGee "long neck" sketch card, but it's an obvious first-ballot card.

Lol......

Here's the original & I have the booklet fold out long neck in my safe deposit box.

Were the potential winners told they need to donate their cards for display at the FCB shop yet?

How about that Stand and Deliver framed set that Ryan picked up a few months ago? That thing was a huge hit among the player collectors and a great conversation piece for a few weeks. I know this thread said card, but this was a single framed piece...
