This is cool!
Same question as above: will there be on-line shopping and (in my case) international shipping?
Seriously, this is very cool and I can see great success in this shop with all the members on FCB, especially if you're competitve compared to other stores.
Good luck in this venture and I'm sure it'll be a blast!

Quite possibly the worst business to enter.

If you could design a metal bat that has the characteristics of an ash bat, you could probably almost darn-near become the exclusive bat of major league baseball. A great business to try to enter if you know about metals and think you could develop that kind of bat.

As for the new Gilmore Card Company, will there be hobby box mail ordering capability or just walk-in business?[/quot

No way will MLB ever go to an aluminum bat no matter how close it is to an aluminum bat.

The shop is a joint venture between me and craftysouthpaw on the board.

we will also explore other aspects of the online hobby world, such as a separate online market place.

First the internet....then the WORLD!!!

Before you pay the sign maker, it's PASTIME, not PAST TIME.

Seriously call the sign guy quick, people will point & laugh.

One of my primary responsibilities is clearly going to be proof reader. Last week, Chris and I had an email exchange on the spelling that was worthy of Abbott and Costello.

yeah, I registered the proper domain.

If you can get a metal bat to act like an ash bat in performance instead of performing greater than an ash bat, I think MLB would be all for it.

It'd cut their liability insurance premiums because the only way someone would get hurt/killed would be the hitter losing bat grip, not the frequent occurrance of a wood bat breaking and impaling fans/players (like Tyler "the Impaled" Colvin of the Cubs). It would also help out in the lawsuit settlements because you there should be lawyers who can make the case now that MLB is well aware of the wood bat problem and has done nothing of significance to reduce the risk of injury to fans/players from breaking bats.

The store will open March 1st in North Atlanta

Pictures and details incoming.

This will open up many more things on the site and allow us to be even cooler than we already are.
Nice!
Congrats!
Glad things are going so well for the FCB crew.
I won't want to be part of any other community.

Just wish I lived closer to an actual shop.

Congrats!

Does that mean you have to eliminate at least one of our official sponsors?

Very cool, man! I look forward to sending you loads of Crimson Tide alum cards and getting full book for them, in return.

Can't wait to see how the store turns out!
