After watching the Lions for the first time this season, they look like a much improved team.

Agreed. Culpepper seems to be close to the guy he was before tearing up his knee. Last time I saw him was vs. the Panthers last year and he had some glimpses there too, but this guy could have been great if not for that injury.

Thanks for the contest!

Some of my thoughts this football Sunday...

1. The Browns are awful. Mangini is a ******. I hope Brady Quinn can get the hell out of there, no QB could be good on that team.

2. Culpepper looked like a man on a mission today, but GO STEELERS!

3. Tony Romo ::facepalm::

Is it just me, or is the overall quality of teams just awful this season when compared to most years?

I'm a Colts fan, and I know that they have a few holes. And the only teams that even remotely scare me are the Giants and maybe Pittsburgh once they get healthy.

Heck, the Bengals are 4-1 and don't concern me one bit. The 5-0 Broncos (who I've watched every minute of this season as I live in Denver) don't scare me at all. In fact, I still don't think that the Broncos are any good. It is just that hardly anybody else is any good this year either. Even the Patriots look pedestrian.

And think about the bottom of the league -- yeah, we normally see one or two really bad teams, but we've got a TON of them this year. Raiders, Chiefs, Lions, Rams, Bills, Bucs, and on and on. That list doesn't even include the 0-4 Titans who got smoked by a Jacksonville team that got killed by Seattle -- another team who isn't worth a darn.
