Sounds just like a bad situation for everybody. If he truly didn't mean to steal those things, then he should at least be cut a little bit of slack.

Real Sad thing. The samething happened to a buddy of mine.
He was garbage picking one night in neighborhood and took some
stuff that was left at the curb my the delivery company. It was on the curb
and not on the driveway so he thought they were getting rid of it. I really can't remember
what the stuff was, but I know he was arrested and it was a hell of a time, clearing that up.

I think it cost about 500 for the stuff, but when it was all said and done, he was out like 1500
And lost his job, at the time.
