FCB Weekend Edition - Sat/Sun - June 4/5 , 2011

So, we lost power last night. It was scheduled to happen for maintenance or some ********.

Well, every smoke detector went off in the house because of it. One of the neighbors knocked on the door and helped me try and turn them off, before we just took them all out. Apparently, this happens every time the power goes out.

Random facebook rant:

I don't get on facebook too often but was on a little bit yesterday and this morning. I saw a ton of posts about knowing who your true friends are because of facebook. Really?

"Going in for my minor surgery, thanks for the well wishes everybody, now I know who my true friends are who really care."

"Thanks for the birthday wishes. Now I know who my true friends are, gonna have to do a friends cleaning now."

The world is a sad sad place. If you think because I didn't put "happy b-day" on your wall, that means we aren't true friends then you are a nutsack. People don't even use their cell phones to call people anymore, they just use them to text and get on facebook. It's sad. You may have 500 facebook friends, but you probably never even speak to anyone in person.

Press Pass snubbed the Miami rookies this year - no Hankerson, or any others. I would have picked up the whole Hankerson player set if he was in it, like I did with Javarris last year.

How are you approaching this collection? Personally, I haven't collected any of my players in the same way in the past. You probably are right for not getting too wrapped up in early releases. It is sometimes tough to go back and find older rare cards though once people stop opening the product. You'll probably get a 2nd shot at this one down the line. Just leaves little margin for error when that time comes.

I'm just being realistic with myself that I can't buy every rare card that pops up, so I want to make sure I get cards I like rather than just getting them for the sake of getting them. I haven't picked up any of the Leaf Ultimate because I don't like thick cards that are made just for the sake of being thick. I'd rather spend that on a different card than have them just to have them.

Sure does. There are two (Jim Otto and Irvin) in Legends, but they're meh in design.
