Ugh, in-laws in town makes for a looooong weekend... This is the first chance I've had all day to check the boards!

In other news I'm adding the PSU Scandal to my life's "Do Not Discuss" list. It joins religion, politics, and Panini.

However I do think the efficacy, or lack thereof, of forum debates, or debates in general, would make for interesting research. If I ever decide to follow up with a masters, I think it could make for an intriguing thesis.

Well I'll admit I took a losing side, but I've told myself again and again not to get involved in internet forum debates. They never produce anything worthwhile. I've had some interesting chats with people IRL about the whole PSU thing, but there is just something that gets lost in translation on a forum.

On another note, how close are you to having the headstone paid off?

I'm still a good distance away from the headstone; $150-225, pending on which size stone I go with (probably the smaller one the way things are looking). I haven't been able to finalize a sale yet. I must really collect bad players/teams  . I wish I had pumped my money into my Cowboys collection now, because I'd have been able to clear my goal by now.

The only money I've raised thus far came from a few people who out of the blue donated to me. I'll get around to thanking them proper once I find out who the one is, as I didn't recognize the name used on paypal.

I live maybe an hour from State College, so I have the pleasure of debating with PSU fans and students. Not fun. I come to the internet because it's less violent  .

Did they bring back the assassins guild in Skyrim? My rise to the top of the Assassins guild in Oblivion was my favorite part.

yes they did, but in this one its harder to get in. You cant just kill an innocent and then get invited. Theres more to it. What it consists of IDK cuz I haven't gotten an invite yet lol.

And it sounds as though it's not for a lack of trying... ;)

Ok I need fantasy help. In one of my leagues I have Brandon Marshall, Greg Jennings and Steve Johnson as well as Victor Cruz. Nicks and Manningham are both questionable for the game today, so who do I start? Jennings is a no brainer, but when he starts, Cruz is right up there with any of the other guys. Thoughts? I'd post this in the FF forum, but it's a ghost town in there.

Dang, the Assassin's Guild would have been my first Skyrim venture.

Scott, I say you should start Cruz. I've yet to regret playing him, and that's every week in three leagues since his one breakout game. That guy's just damn good. I think he can pick up 10 for you, even against the 49ers.

If you don't' go Cruz, Steve Johnson will be playing against Dallas, who is 16th in the league for passing defense. He could have a nice game.

SO Cruz over Marshall?

Well, I've actually been too occupied to try and get into the assassins guild. That guy was the first one i murdered. Then i quite the game lol. I'll find out tomorrow what exactly ya gotta do to get into it. Between that one, the thieves guild and mages guild I doubt the main quest will get any playing time for a long time

I don't think I ever finished the man quest in Oblivion, just the assassins guild quests and a bunch of other side quests. By the time I buy Skyrim I'm guessing there will be a guide somewhere online regarding acceptance into the AG.
