Speaking of the Iggles...DeSean Jackson didn't show up for the team meeting yesterday morning and is inactive for the game today.

Nice move by me in Nate's league 2 a month ago or so. Traded for DeSean, gave up Frank Gore... ::facepalm::

I HAD good RBs and terrible WRs, and figured D-Jax was due to rebound. Maybe not...

In real-life football, I gotta wonder what the implications down the road are. Jackson's a potential FA and has made it known he's ticked they haven't extended him already, especially when the Deadline for extensions counting against this year's cap ran out Monday, before he had a bad game vs. Chicago. As I said on FB though, don't worry, somebody will over-pay him anyway! :lol: Should be interesting...

Shannahan continues to prove that he left his brain in Denver, as he has put Rex Grossman back in at QB. Not that it's a bad decision compared to Beck, but he just seems lost week to week, continuing the trend from last season.

But the cynic in me wonders if the Iggles would suspend him IF they weren't playing the Worst team in the NFC... :?

Was in a rush yesterday morning or I would have cosigned your questioning of that UA-CU point spread. The initial "push" for the interim coach wore off weeks ago, and the only game I could see focusing this group is the ASU game. Just waiting for the new coaching hire at this point...

It is convenient to bench Jackson in a game where he might not be absolutely vital to the outcome, but I think Reid has to do this in order to have some sort of hope to rally this team together for the 2nd half of the season. While bleak, the door isn't completely closed yet. Jackson picked the right week to sleep in from the team's perspective.

From Jackson's perspective, I think he could have put up some numbers today, which might cost him a small % of money when teams roll out projections based on year-end stats during contract negotiations.

Maybe Shanahan will just trade for Matt Moore, Charlie Whitehurst, or Chad Henne next year. Seems like that would fit in with what he's been doing.
