Made a couple WVU pickups this evening. It feels good to make PC pickups for just a couple bucks, huh?

always nice to get pc for a low price....can't wait to see what it is!!!

Was able to get the Simms. Forgot a friend owes me some money for some video editing work I did a couple weeks ago. The Thurman got out of my price range though. 1 out of 2 works for me.

I really think that I'm going to have to refocus my collection beginning this next year. There will potentially just be several Portis patch cards to pick up in the new releases. Maybe a NFL logo. If Topps makes it back in a rainbow to go after. The fact of the matter is that Portis hasn't signed for Topps since 2003 and his last DLP signature was in 2005.

Maybe I'll start collecting McNabb. I can't think of too many other players on the Redskins that would have much to collect outside of their rookie year. Chris Cooley would be awesome, but as a TE he's only got two or three autos total. Perhaps the 'skins will draft somebody who will end up being a great offensive player and will have plenty of longevity as a hobby favorite.

Same. If you're shipping something a week late and it's for a reason, you will generally know ahead of time and should notify the buyer immediately. If it's because of some kind of emergency, notify the buyer as soon as is convenient. However, if you wait a week+ and then send an email about how 'crazy things have been' or how you had 'a family emergency' you just end up looking like kind of a lying ******.

You're right, but patches can only be done in so many ways. I've already got a large number of patch cards in my Portis PC, and somehow the new ones generally seem less desirable simply because it's all been done before. I'm not going to be collecting anything DLP for the base cards or parallels, that's for dang sure. It may be time to move on to another player anyways. I've been collecting him for 2+ years now and I've gotten a very good portion of the back stuff that I want. Another player or especially a rookie would bring a slew of new stuff for me to buy up.

I remember first starting the PC; it was shortly after I started collecting cards again. When I looked at ebay I wanted EVERYTHING simply because it was all so new and awesome. Now sometimes an entire week will go by without anything I really want coming up.
