Pretty much all earlier hofers have a card that came before their Topps or Bowman release just depends what you classify as a card because many are exhibits and post cards. Here is a link to a site I found a few years ago that lists first cards for each player, if you click on each player it shows a scan of each card and lists some of their other early cards.

I am drawing a mind blank here but are there not two versions of this card? Is there a rounded corner and square corners version. Do you have any information on this?
