February pickup thread

Here are a couple McGriff cards I got for my PC this week. For some reason the Elite had eluded me for a while. Also picked up a 2015 Gypsy Queen Cyan printing plate. I think that may be the second McGriff printing plate I have so far.

lol, I finally got the boot from BO. I'm a moderator on another, much smaller, trading card forum that was created from one of the guys on BO. It's mostly just one giant off-topic section without any censorship (my fav part). It's a refugee for members who were booted from other sites like BO and then a lot of active BO members. Since the traffic is low you won't be doing much B/S/T. I'm not sure of the rules here regarding promoting other sites but if you wanted I could send you a PM. I was already warned from houdini not to send out any active members to recruit. He said it was considered poaching lol.

btw, I never thought you were a dbag in fact I always enjoyed your humor.

16 years later, I finally get some of them. Those are my first and only copies of them. Then only doubles from this lot is the 2005 Leaf Century collection Stamp (#2 the other one is Serial #080 /100) and the 2001 Fleer Genuine Material (#16 Different Colors). Everything else is my first. Just glad to check them off of the checklist.

Through out an offer on this not really expecting to get it. It's from the first cut auto set ever made (to the best of my knowledge.) Burbank has the Lefty Grove from this set but wants close to 4k...

Absolutely incredible! I believe you are correct on first cut auto set. It's a beauty

Nice looking card. But I also think $1,200 is little steep. It's not like it's his rookie card, which I could see selling for that price or a lot more.

2013 Bowman is by far my favorite recent Bowman design. It was very simple and the design made the autos look very crisp. They didn't try too hard to make it look futuristic like the last couple years.

I agree d2r, 2013 is my favorite since '05.


One pickup so far

Quite a downgrade from my last one. I heard it was crossed to a PSA 9 and sold privately for $8k, which was a tad few thousand more than what I sold it for. Oh well

2005 is my all-time favorite BC design. Maybe it's because that was the first case I ever bought and it's also when I rediscovered my love of trading cards after a long hiatus.

Can't be too many jumbo Cobb GU cards. Some of the swatch is covered, they did a better job this year, but pretty awesome!
