Yea I got 2 boxes of 08 Bowman Draft. Even though I pulled 2 Brad Hand autos :( . I still tell her I got something good, because I don't want her to be sad I didn't get anything. I am happy though.

If my mother gave me it, I wouldn't care if I openned a case & only received a used piece of toilet paper; I would smile like there was no tommorrow & lie through my teeth about how awesome the pull was (I love my family more than anything, & I know that look in people's eye's when they think the person receiving the gift is "let down"; I would never want to see that look in my mother's eye's or anyone else in my family)! Today I received a 08 B,Chrome Draft box from my sister & although I pulled a R.Chaffee Gold Refractor, I didn't get an auto & that was the only refractor in the box (I was fuming on the inside but I built up Chaffee to be the next big "Thing" as far as value is concerned). I did ask her for the receipt as I told her that if I send in the empty packs & the receipt that I'd be elligible for an autograph, she was really thrilled that I loved her gift & it has made for a very good Christmas! :D Now on the other hand, Topps... You will be hearing from me very soon!

My parents won't let me buy singles and such on the internet and only buy cards for me (boxes) on my birthday or Christmas. This year we made an order off a website and they ran out of a certain box of cards, anyway my parents bought me extra boxes of cards and I appreciated it very much. I had a box of draft and some basketball boxes. I pulled mostly crap from the basketball but told my parents they were great. I just feel bad about how much money they spent because I could buy cards I actually want and not spend so much money. Anyway, I still look forward to graduating highschool and going to college and living on my own where I can buy my own cards and such. I still tell them to buy me wax because that's the only way I can obtain cards (Well, they will take me to card shows if they are less than an hour away. I've been to about 10 or so in the last 3 years including this year). Everytime I try to convince them to let me buy singles on the internet (even under their supervision) they sort of ignore me or laugh it off. It's frustrating...

My parents spent a lot of money on ****** blasters and commemorative sets.I was kinda sad but did enjoy going through the packs of 89 topps and did pull some decent rookies.I pulled a pedro jersey card from a blaster of artifacts and told them it was worth 40.00.They bought a box of artifacts from ud magazine and it had no hits so that was a waste of 70.00.Overall it was awful but thats what happens when you dont list what you want.I love them for trying but dont let your parents buy wax on their own!!!.

My 7 year old daugher bought me a few packs from Target when her mother took her shopping. 4 packs of 08 Topps Series 2 and 2 packs of 08 Press Pass Premium (NASCAR). She thought the Press Pass was baseball because the drivers on the packs are holding baseball packs. I didn't get anything good out of the packs, but she was so happy that she bought me cards for Christmas and that is all that mattered.

Out of the Press Pass packs, I got a SP rookie that books for $20. She was very happy when I showed her the "value" of it.

Hey...at least you got cards.I usually get clothes(which I did again this year) and of course I have no more room to put them.I have so many sweaters I am thinking of moving up north just to justify having them all.

Of course...I would probably just tell my wife or anyone else for that matter to buy me a gift cert. for my local shop.Or even a handful of random packs from walmart or target also work.Sometimes I will even tell em just a few blasters. But for the most part they don't do it because I think they pretty much see it as a waste of money.Oh well. Its the thought that counts.

Anyone need a handful of sweaters?

Luckily this year my mom didn't buy me any cards. Usually I get something along the lines of a blaster of Fleer. And she knows enough about the hobby to know that a Lyle Overbay jersey card is not worth $20. Oh well. She gave me the Red Sox commemorative set last year which I actually like because they look great and the cards are sometimes hard to find for my various PCs.
