I don't know if this is true for all of the chain's stores but the Field of Dreams in San Diego (at the Fashion Valley Mall) is going out of business. I can see why as they charged waaaaay too much for everything but they do have a pretty good selection of autographs. Anyway stuff is between 30% and 70% off now so there are some deals to be had. Just wanted to let you guys know.

If it's anything like the FOD in Minneapolis, I'm not far off.

It's about time!! Although it's the pretty much the only sports store in the Mall of America, I'm almost glad. I'm just wondering how they could have stayed in business that long.

I was there Saturday; it was ridiculous. I walked in, looked at some prices, and started laughing. . .

Haha, yeah. It was good for some laughs, along w/ maybe being a refreshing sight of nice memorabilia. That said, I seriously don't get how they made any money whatsoever.

Agreed. By the way, I don't know if you were the one who recommended Hubert's but on game day there was an hour wait.

Is the one at Caesar's Palace going out of business, too?

What will Pete Rose do? Where will he sign?

I assume that since the sports memorabilia was horribly overpriced, then the entertainment memorabilia must be, too. But they had some nice things that I wanted, so maybe I'll keep an eye out.
