Some of you may have seen the link posted that Andruw was signing in Atlanta and that's about an hours drive for me so I had to go. Well, I just back home from the Andruw Jones/Otis Nixon signing and I gotta say it was great. When I get there, there are maybe 20 people in front of me and most only getting 1 or 2 auto's so didn't have to wait long. While I'm waiting he stands up to take a couple pictures and he looks like he's lost a ton of weight, I'm talking down to 210-215 range (didn't get a pic of him standing though). Hopefully he can do something in Chicago.

So I get up there and give him a game program from the WBC that was played in Puerto Rico. It was pretty cool cause he stopped and read the cover, then when I give him a blue sharpie he said "no no no, this is better" and pulled out the silver pen. I wasn't gonna argue with him and I gotta admit it does look a lot nicer. Next I gave him a couple cards and he rubbed them down before he signed, which to me seemed like he cared a little bit. Then I went onto give him a monopoly game piece and he cocked his head kinda with a confused look and signed. Probably the first time he's ever signed that. Next I gave him the ticket stubs and he must have read the date on the 1st mlb ticket because when I asked if he could put an inscription he said something to the tune of "1st mlb HR OK?". That's what I was gonna have him put anyways and it was cool he recognized the date. Then on the WS stub I had him inscribe "youngest WS HR". He was real nice let me get a picture with him, shook my hand and thanked me for coming out.

It was great to finally meet a guy I've spent years following and thousands collecting and to see that he was so nice was just great.

This what $75 got me, I did grab one nixon, more just because he was there though.

Wow! Looks like he's changed his signature a little bit too. Taking a little more time with his signature than most of the pack pulled ones you see. If you hadn't met him in person, I'd say they looked forged. Congrats! I like his signature that way!

My favorite is the Monopoly Title card.
I really like the monopoly piece also, it was actually my girls idea and she kept telling me I had to get signed cause he prob gets tickets and cards all the time and that I should stand out by bringing something odd.

Love the Jersey/Bat card.
Ever since I saw the auto'd version of Griffey JR, I've wanted one. It may not be as rare as the griffey but it is just as pretty.

He was taking a long time on all his signatures and not just scribbling them on. Usually he doesn't actually write the "ndruw" but instead just uses a line, pretty nice to have the full name.

Glad to see you had a good experience. Good to see how clear and crisp the autos came out...I can't recall ever seeing such a neat, every letter autograph from him.

Great story! Those are all nice PC items.

Out of thousands of cards, why did you pick the Jones/Gomes, anything special about it?
