I don't think they are going to put Heyward at #1. He's going to be one of the two main draws in the redemption set, and I don't see them wasting him at #1 only to have collectors guessing where Strasburg where land between 2 and 9. That is unless they release a base version at 1 and an auto later on down the line.

Tremendously overpriced.

I only say that based on what 2007 Finest Matsuzaka redemption debuted at, relative to his other cards/what it sells for now.

#1 is also the only one I don't have multiples of. I am a believer that there will be an autograph as in past years, and I thought from day 1 it would be Strasburg or Chapman. Have there been any in the past that were base, and autographed in the same set?

I believe Hanson from last year. He was a base at #2 and an auto at #10 (the only auto).

Topps announces the player redeemable for the 2010 Topps Finest Baseball Rookie Redemption # 1 is Atlanta Braves slugger Jason Heyward. And to spice to up the offer, 10% of the Jason Heyward cards redeemed will be AUTOGRAPHED! (on-card that is!). Collectors will be immediately notified if their version is autographed once they unlock their code online. If you have already unlocked your code on Topps.com, go back and check your online redemption account to see if you have been awarded an autographed version!

Throughout the 2010 Major League Baseball season, Topps will announce the subjects for the 10-card Rookie Redemption set. Each Master Box of Topps Finest includes one Rookie Redemption. In addition, collectors can also find redemptions for Blue Refractors (#’d to 199) and Gold Refractors (#’d to 50) versions.

I must say, I am thoroughly unimpressed with him 1) being redemption #1 and 2) only having a 10% auto run.

Hopefully when Stras and Chapman make the set, they have two separate cards (like Hanson), not two in one.
