I became a Phillies Phan in 1995. I suffered through the Kevin Stocker, Travis Lee, Doug Glanville, Bobby Estellela, Joe Roa, Alex Arias, Gary Bennett, Desi Relaford, Kevin Sefcik, and Mark Portugal eras. I'm still suffering through the Ruben Amaro Jr. era. I went fourteen years of being a die-hard Phillies phan before I saw them make the 2007 playoffs. 2008 was an absolute dream come true for me. I no longer have to worry that I will never see the Phillies win a world series before I die. (I'm only 22)

Well, Shiraldi was on the Mets payroll in 1985 (their #1 draft pick in 1983). He was traded in the deal that brought Bobby Ojeda to the Mets, which was probably the biggest move they made in the offseason before 1986. Ojeda went 18-5 in 1986 for the Mets.

Since all of the Victorino collectors are here, you guys remember when Victorino and Julian Taverez got into it over a pick-off throw? A bench clearing "fight" ensued and was it great to watch Victroino get under his skin so much.

I was thinking about if the mods should be eligible or not. Most people here know I am very good friends with a few of the Mods here so naturally I would not offer it to those guys. I think the Mods who posted here should be eligilble I for one appreciate the good work you do here. I will announce the winners in a few hours. i want to let some more people post.
I am not sure if this is a first, giving away worn auto equipment.

I am forever greatful to the Phillies for taking out the very much hated (in my mind) DEVIL Rays. Their crappy stadium stinks, and they could simply not win a World Series. Chase Utley and Cole Hamels lead my fantasy team to a championship and for that I am also greatful. They have a gritty team who never backed down from their tough postseason challanges and in the end pravailed over the Rays. Great team personalities and their never give up attitude earned them my respect for sure.

See, I find Chickie and Pete's to be over rated but the crab fries are great. I usually go to Tony Luke's too. You need to try Jim's Roast Pork which is 2 blocks from there. I think they have the best steaks I've ever had, but he has weird hours. I think he's only open Mon-Fri from 10-3. When you walk in, you can see all the Zagat awards and "Best of Philly" articles.

I agree with that...it's only meat and cheese on bread. Ask me if I could live w/o them...absolutely not. I'll take a steak over a burger or taco joint any time.
