First fakes from 2009 Ultimate Collection

It was inevitable, but this is still fast turnaround time for faking a product. These are all sold by seller aruba202. I've noted discrepancies on a few, which is enough for me to stay away from all of them.

If you look at the other Ordonez patches from this product, you can easily see that they're all from a Tigers jersey.

This first Weaver is for sale by the seller, and the second, which I think is real, has already sold. You'll notice that the logos are different, and the jerseys behind the logos. All the Weaver patches from this product have grey jerseys as the background, except for this one logo from Aruba202.

These three have already sold via BIN for $200-300 each.

All the other Raines in this product have been 2-color swatches that aren't even from a true patch.

I think the Weaver, Ordonez, and Chavez are fake...

Yeah, I was going to post about these as well. Even though I'm not planning on selling it, I'm tracking all the other Upton sleeve patches so that I can prove mine is real.

I am keeping track of all the Chavez's as well, it would have been great to have a gallery of 25-30 of these except this one looks nothing like any of the others that have been listed.

Even if you never saw the other players and just saw the Ankiel, you'd question this one as well. Up front it looks fine, but it's a little different compared to the other Ankiel logos from this product.

Wonder if everyone figured it out and they didn't sell high, if the orig. piece would still be behind there if you took out the fake patch. Wonder if the guy would sell you the orig. piece he removed.

It really is a shame.

It ruins it for those that hold on to or are selling the great patches from the product. Like that nasty Lincecum patch that came out of the group break last night. If that got posted on another forum someone would probably call it's authenticity into question....and honestly who could blame them? Guess that's the good part about videotaping breaks.

Looking at the windows for the patches he Ordonez bottom right of card has creases, Rains top left window, Hernandez same spot as the Rains at the top left window ALL have creases. Those three are fakes IMO

I just purchased a patch tonight that has what looks like two creases in the corners of the window. I've seen a few more up on eBay with the same creasing issue. It's a production issue. That being said most or all of the patches that guy is selling have been faked.

Did you see the Red Schoendienst /16 jumbo that had half of the 04 World Series logo patch the seller said its from a jersey Red wore to throw out a first pitch, if its real how's that for game used!
