Thier sell sheets always look nice, but they forgot to add the pictures of Angel Pagan auto's, Yamaico Navarro Auto's, Jesse Crain auto's, and Jhan Marinez Auto's getting pulled much more often then any other card on that sheet.

If they don't raise the price of the product, I like the idea of the full size game-used memorabilia redemptions, although I bet the odds will be astronomical. Reminds me of UD Authentics. I still think the design is rather "meh", but looks like they added veteran MLB stars this year, and not just "young" stars, so +1.

Hopefully this year, there isn't any one prospect's FY auto that will hype prices through the roof upon release. I overpaid up the ***** upon release last year and regretted it badly...but mostly as a result of pulling crappy players that Topps' used that were not posted on the early checklist...wasn't happy with all the Emilio Bonifacio, John McDonald, and Jhan Marinez autos. I think I'll wait for release and not make the same pre-order mistake again though.

I know this is petty but I can't stand the Bowman Platinum non-chrome card stock/foil.

Still looking forward to this though. Looks like Finest and Platinum had babies.

This isn't a bad thing as long as the baby gets the on-card auto DNA

Does this seem like a more limited product that years past? All depends on how many parallels of each card there is I guess.

I might have to open up the wallet a little more than usual for this one! Maybe 3-4 boxes instead of the 2 I bought each of the last 2 years?

Maybe a small step up in terms of design, but still really gaudy.

Somehow I don't think that's awesomeness coming out of Harper's head. One of the FIRST things someone learns when taking a design or photography class...don't frame people so it looks like things are growing out of their head. That card, to me, is fail.

Boring as hell design, as usual. I swear it must take them 5 minutes to create the designs for Platinum and Sterling releases every year.

No design that goes into production takes 5 minutes, and the amount of time put into a project usually completely independent of how effective it is. It still doesn't change that this design is not good though.

It does look like a cross between finest and maybe bowman sterling?

But, I think it looks nice. I skipped last year, and am glad I did. But this one has me thinking that I may get back in.

To those who find it boring, I don't get it. Looks like on-card prospect autos (stickers are shown for relic and vet. cards, I know), big relics and top players. I must be missing something.

I don't need a lecture on sell sheet v. reality...I know we are not likely to pull the cards from the sheet and even if we do, the relics will probably be different...But, I think I am back in for this round.

Edit: Here is the sell sheet. 2 On cards per box...

And here is the prelim. checklist...

I still think this one is enough to draw me back after skipping last year.

The design... it doesn't do anything for me. Design is always subjective. I can barely tell the difference between the last 4-5 seasons of Platinum and Sterling releases. The content is always nice, but the designs are lacking in my opinion.

I was being facetious. It SEEMS like it takes them 5 minutes to come up with a new design for these sets every year. I know they don't LITERALLY take 5 minutes. :)

Am I really the only one bothered by the laser beams shooting out of harper's head?

For the record I think it's the opposite of boring, but in a bad way.
