First pick ups in a while at Spring Training

So I was in Florida a few weeks ago for Spring Training. The relative we went to visit ended up in the hospital. So I had a lot of free time. I went on eBay a few times, picked up a few cards, and hung out with one of my friends.

The first card I grabbed was one of the few cards I have wanted really badly in the last few years. Got it for a price I was comfortable with and was thrilled to finally snag one. Even though I hadn't really looked all that hard.

A few years ago I remember arguing with someone on here that the price that a Jason Esposito 1/1 from Leaf sold for an insane price. I am friends with Jason, I saw him play a ton and felt he wasn't that great an investment after the draft. So when this card came up and I got it for 15 dollars last week, it made me laugh.

Also got this card of Jason as one of the "proof" supers a few months back. Will get him to sign it someday probably.

So when I was down in Florida I gave a friend a call. Only person I knew within a reasonable distance of where we were staying was Andrew Heaney from the Florida Marlins. We ended up hanging the monday and wednesday that I was down there since I had nothing else to do. Andrew was great played with my son, and we had lunch.

So right after I left lunch with Andrew I looked on eBay and saw one of his top cards for a price that I figured was way less than market value at a BIN, so I hit it.

So that was my pick ups. Have added very few cards lately, but was thrilled with all 4 of these.

Thanks Dan. I don't know if I ever left the hobby just not buying unless I really want the cards.

Pretty much just a small collection of Heaney over last year and mostly unsigned versions since I am buying for collecting and he would sign anything for me.

I was thinking about I king up a few vintage comics , but can't decide if I want to buy them raw or not
