Fitzgerald Auto Question...

...I do not collect football or follow card sales, what are true rookie cards, etc.
However I am a huge football fan, especially of Larry Fitzgerald, fellow Minnesotan.

Question is, what is considered his top three rookie cards?
In searching eBay I see the following:
1) 04 SP Authentic Patch Auto /299 - Looks to be an on card auto, which I really really like.
2) 04 Ultimate Collection Rookie Signatures Auto /150 - Again, looks to be on card auto.
3) ???

Yeah, SPed to 50, BV $750, ungraded...pretty much everything else that's a higher end "RC" is on a sticker.

I say go after an Ultimate, SPA/299 and an SPA Gold/25, or a Topps Rookie Premier auto, my 2 cents.

I think you only have three options if you want an on card sig and they have all been mentioned already (And then however you want to call the sweet spot with the mini-helmet piece on it).

Of those three, I think the Ultimate looks better, is more rare, and comes cheaper than the SP Authentic.

Then, as mentioned there is the rookie premiere auto insert.

I know you don't like sticker autos, but for me, there are a few great sticker autos... and those actually contain his full auto, unlike his hard signed cards.

As for those, you have the super-rare Contenders auto that was already talked about. But my favorite is the Leaf Limited. Limited is one of the most underrated sets on the market (Last Fitz /150 sold for only $51). You get his full auto on a card numbered to 150 (3rd shortest RC I believe, behind Contenders and SPx, tied with Ultimate) and a card that a shiny sticker actually looks pretty good on.

Donruss Elite is also a nice looking card with college unis and has a non-true rc auto numbered to 125 (sticker).

That's my breakdown of the Fitz rookies, hope it helps.

I would go with the Leaf Limited AND the Ultimate.

Was my card. check his feedback. sold it to him for 500. I sold a psa 10 for 1k during the panthers game in sohos in pittsburgh night before Steeler chargers game.. I had paid 525 for it 10 days prior. Had a hunch. listed it and made sure to carry my blackberry lol
