well I stumbled upon a guy who said he had gotton some stuff from a guy who used to be the owner of a card shop. I found some different promo and sample items as well as some auto 8x10's most were made out to " collectors choice " which I thought was weird. there was also some uncut sheets of 94 collectors edge football and a few other random football items but these stuck out the most.

heres what I got for $10

1988 star gold edition sets /1500 sets

I believe the autos are authentic. 100%. Great find! I am going to my local flea market tomorrow I think. It's been a while.

I compared them to some on ebay and they look pretty good to me too

Wow this post brings back some good memories. I went to that sports card show, among others, at the San Mateo Expo Center. Ahh the good ole days.

Buy a Staedtler Eraser and you should be able to get the inscription off of the Howe with a limited amount of damage. Typically, no damage to the photo depending on the gloss/finish.

I would assume "Collectors Choice" was the name of the card shop.

So the Favre was priced at what, $2? I'd say that's worth the gamble...
