Are any of the Signature Series selling for more than they were during the initial release?

I think Razor's potential gains will be made when there are no other autographs of a player while the player is becoming a star in the MLB. We haven't seen that yet. Wieters is the only Razor player who is currently in the MLB and Razor was his third year of autographs.

Thats the goal, yes, but as you know, many prospecting profits are made while that player is still in the minors. If Razor hopes to continue to compete in the prospect market, they better hope that their cards can be flipped for profit as the market is largely run by prospectors (atleast in my opnion).

Yes, but predominantly the players who only have had Razor cards are still at the A level, at most double A.

Still, with hot starts like the ones guys like Alonso, Weeks, and Kelly (among other) had, I would think some profits would have been made. I am not a Razor basher my any means (check out my prospect profile if you have any doubts), but the profit potential does concern me a bit.

Alonso and Kelly prices started high, and the level they are at still, there wasn't a ton of growth potential. It's still too early to judge. The Metal Base is going to be hard to judge value wise now since Wossa poured so much in to some guys that it will be almost impossible to make profit. Example David Cooper gold base sold for 46, his autos didn't get bids at 12 dollars some times.

Has Wassamattu ever sold a card? If not, wouldn't that make the available singles of the cards he invested in (at least temporarily) Scarce?

Wossa hasn't sold. He and I combined have over 50% of the Kelly parallels for the metal run on base.

I’ve made some $ w/razor, but it was by buying up lots extremely cheaply + breaking them down + by buying singles of lesser hyped guys who later got hyped.

Things hurting razor-

poor quality control- many cards I got had chipped back edges +/or corners. Scratches are hurting razor metal

initial case/box price- way too high for the typical $ return- which is why I didn’t bust any. Razor priced its products like it had been in the market for years (like topps + upper deck). While some people may have busted boxes/cases just b/c it was a ‘new’ product, most heavy case busters avoided razor b/c there didn’t seem to be a decent chance of making a decent ROI. Unless/until this changes, I will continue avoiding ripping razor boxes/case. This high case/box issue plagued sigs, oval office + it plagued letterman.

Too many releases in too short of a time period- sigs was nice, but then bam, metal AND letterman come out + kills the value of sigs. While topps + ud release a lot of products, bowman sterling doesn’t instantly tank the value of say bowman chrome

The chrome issue- like it or not, chrome is THE benchmark. While other products like elite + sterling have been able to gain acceptance/offer a decent ROI, razor really needs to step up their game + do something totally revolutionary to excite the marketplace + gain acceptance. Offering high priced products w/poor quality control + releasing very similar issues in a very short timeframe isn’t the way to go about it.

quoted for truth, this is my primary razor gripe

Saying people who bust boxes got destroyed is laughable, you can say that about every single product. I opened 2 boxes of BCDP, a good product and if I sold eveything maybe would make 20 dollars shipped. Those boxes cost 130 at launch for both.

A question was asked and I answered it

The answer might be laughable but it is the answer

Sure it might be an answer to any product but I answered this inquiry.

The OP wanted to get replies to whether or not flipping Razor has been successful and my response was that the vast majority who busted wax lost. This does not count those who only bought isolated players and/or those who got the crazy collation boxes (they are the min. exception)

Again, soome will instantly see my name and say "Oh, there he is ripping Razor again." When, all I did was give an answer to a question someone else proposed

Probably going off of the board's input when they busted the product (seems I remember very few did well busting Sig Series- the only couple of good one's that come to mind are JP's.....hmmm...maybe another Mod or 2 but I'm drawing a blank...). I'm sure if someone cares enough on the matter they can look up/search the board's past thread post's & get to the "data" (but I'm confident in my educated opinion on this thread's topic as I've followed the Ebay sv's for Sig Series since release, & it's basically fizzled...Sure card's numbered to 5 may pull in a nice price but so do the low-numbered Tri-Star Auto's! :? :| .
Maybe once/if the future Razor product's are distributed correctly & can get away from the drama & questionable behavior which has caused all of this speculation, doubt, & animosity towards them; they should put out a great and promising product (but they still need to get thier duck's in a row & win the people back)! :D
