QUESTION....when you say "score the first touchdown", does that mean what player actually scores the TD? What if Favre throws a TD pass to Rice, who would you consider scoring?

If Favre passes forward to Rice in the end-zone, RICE is the one that scored.

For Favre to have scored a touchdown he must rush the ball over the goalline.

This has always been my understanding: The act of scoring is possessing the ball past (or at, I guess) the goalline.
