Ok, most here know me as a Randy Johnson fan so I obviously was incredibly interested in this article on ESPN.

Obviously players "fall through the cracks" and vice versa, but I just thought this was an interesting read with excerpts from a sure-fire first-ballot HOF pitcher's scouting reports.

Thank you very much for posting this link (I'm a HUGE Die-Hard Randy Johnson fan & this was an EXCELLENT & entertaining read)! I especially got a kick out of R.Johnson's quote:

"I used to throw 135-140 [pitch counts] in the major leagues," he says. "So when I see someone coming out after 100 pitches, I kind of laugh, you know." :lol:

Very interesting. In the end, the scouts weren't very far off as it took him quite a few years to get his delivery under control. And then it was lights out. Thanks for posting the article.
